Welcome to the Waikato and home of the only commercial tea estate in New Zealand – Zealong Tea Estate produces 100% organic award winning tea.  The estate includes approximately 30 hectares of Certified Organic land with over 1.2 million tea bushes. 

We start our day off with an informative tour of the Zealong Tea Estate, our guide will lead the group along the tea trail through the history of tea, amongst the unique sculptures and scenic stops to learn how tea is picked and processed in the factory. 

We then embark on a sensory journey into the heart of Zealong’s tea with a Guided Tea Tasting Session. This experience offers an in-depth look into the Zealong Story and growing tea organically in New Zealand.  This tea tour session is an exclusive opportunity for a comprehensive tea tasting featuring Zealong’s complete collection of teas. Immerse yourself in the world of flavours, and aromas. 

We enjoy lunch at the Camillia Restaurant, an elevated dining experience with a menu inspired using French techniques and fresh, local seasonal produce. 

There is time in the afternoon for some entertainment before we head back to Claudelands or the hotels.
