Cancellation Policy
Should a cancellation be required the following cancellation policy will be applied. 

  • All cancellations and changes must be received in writing. 
  • Delegate registrations can be transferred to a substitute attendee with no fees incurred if the ticket is the same. 
  • Cancellations received on or before 21 June will receive a 50% refund
  • Cancellations received on or after 22 June – no refund

If the Government direct cancellation of public events, force majeure will apply and there will be a full refund given. In the event of postponement, all registrations paid will be transferred to the new event date. If not paid, registrations will be cancelled, and registrants will need to register again for the new event date.

Code of Conduct – QuarryNZ                                                                        

This Code of Behaviour sets out the expected conduct for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and organisers at a QuarryNZ Conference. It’s aim is to ensure a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment for everyone.

1. All participants are expected to:

    • Treat others with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
    • Engage in discussions and activities in a constructive and respectful manner.
    • Respect diversity, including different opinions, backgrounds, and experiences.
    • Follow event instructions from organisers, venue staff, and moderators.
    • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the reasonable expectations of your employer.
    • At some QuarryNZ events alcohol may be served. Those who choose to consume alcohol are expected to do so responsibly, ensuring it does not impair their professionalism, judgment, or the safety of themselves or others.

    2. The following behaviours will not be tolerated:

    • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation based on race, gender, sexuality, disability, age, religion, or any other characteristic.
    • Disruptive or aggressive behaviour, including shouting, threats, or inappropriate interruptions.
    • Any form of abuse, including verbal, physical, or written.
    • Sharing offensive or inappropriate content in chats, Q&A sessions, or presentations.
    • Disrupting sessions with inappropriate comments or actions. 

    3. If you experience or witness any unacceptable behaviour, please report it to a member of the Conference Organiser, Melissa Bahler or the Positive Events staff.  Serious incidents may be reported to the relevant authorities.

    4. By attending a QuarryNZ event, you agree to abide by this Code of Behaviour. Thank you for contributing to a positive and respectful event.

    Complaints procedure

    As soon as practical, the Conference Organiser will advise a member of the Executive Conference Committee (ECC) of any complaint lodged under the code of conduct or any other complaint related to QuarryNZ. The ECC member will:

    1. Advise other ECC members and/or the AQA CEO of the complaint as appropriate.
    2. Conduct an investigation into the complaint as soon as possible.
    3. Report to the complainant that an investigation is underway.
    4. Following the investigation, advise the complainant on the timing and detail of actions to be taken.
    5. Advise the ECC on the outcomes of the investigation and actions taken.
